New Jersey is set to streamline its property tax relief programs with a single application for seniors aged 65 and older, disabled homeowners, and mobile homeowners. This new form, known as the PAS-1, will replace previous applications for the senior freeze and ANCHOR programs, making it easier for residents to access benefits. Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio stated, “This new one-stop application will make it simpler for residents to apply for the property tax relief benefits they’re entitled to.” The combined application will be sent to over 1m households by early March and will be available online by mid-February. Payouts will begin in July, with an application deadline of October 31st.
